With the new month comes a renewed sense of freshness and a new season! Now we’re entering spring, we often decide that it is a good time to be more healthy and detox our bodies.
There are right ways and wrong ways to detox. A good way to start off is to slowly reduce the amount of junk we consume. One way to do this is to elliminate one item per day. So for example, you might quit eating burgers, then chips, then fizzy drinks, then chocolate etc. By ‘giving up’ different items on different days or weeks, it is easier for your body and mind to cope with the big change to your diet. By suddenly quitting everything all at once, you are much more likely to suffer withdrawals and cravings.
Second to diet is of course fitness, so spring is a good time to think about adding some additional exercise in. The days are gradually getting longer, offering more chances to get outside and enjoy some fresh air! Running and walking are good ways to get more active outside in the spring.
