- Workout for at least 30 minutes per day – for health benefits, it is important to work your heart with cardio for at least 30 minutes each day. This is the recommended amount for heart health according to the experts.
- Work hard! Your cardio workout should be hard enough to get you out of breath and sweating. If you can maintain a solid conversation, you need to push a little harder to get the benefits.
- Try different activities – don’t just stick to the same old routine! You body benefits from switching it up, and working different muscles can be good to save you from getting bored.
- Take a rest day – try to have a rest day at least 1 day per week, and try not to have more than 3 days consecutive exercise days. If you do not take a rest, you could run the risk of overworking your body.
